Achy Achy!

First I want to say a big “Thank you” for all of the positive comments left on my last post about my 5K birthday run.  Y’all are too sweet!

Secondly, I will apologize (again… for like the 100th time) for my delay in posting but once again life has taken over.  I have been going through a lot in my personal life and have been pushing through the stresses which has put blogging to the side.

Today I will leave you with an update on what’s to come for me in the activity department.

I really did have a LOT of fun doing the 5K and although I wasn’t terribly impressed with my results I do not regret any part of it whatsoever!  As what normally happens after a race, I caught the ‘race bug’ and decided I wanted to sign up for the Valley Harvest 10K in October (10-10-10).

Seriously – that is oodles of time away from now and oodles of time left for me to prepare.  I started a new run/walk program WAY back to basics – which I needed because I have only gone out for a run 2x since the 5k run on May 23rd.  My new run program (which has been adjusted and postponed several times in the past few weeks already) takes me to the end of August.  So by then I should be able to effectively complete a 10K.   This is a good plan because I KNOW life is going to get in the way and interfere with my training.  With summer being around the corner, moving into our new house – I know I won’t be able to follow my schedule to a “T” but it’s been laid out with a few weeks of forgiving.

Here’s the kicker….

I *also* caught back onto the P90x bug.  I was doing some random Googling on Saturday and decided to hop back onto the P90x bandwagon.  See, I tried this program last year and never followed through with it.  I got a wrist injury then simply got completely de-motivated and just stopped doing it.

Looking back at when I started I was a few pounds less than what I weigh currently and I remember how dissatisfied I felt in my own skin.  So… this past Saturday I re-took my “before” P90x photos (which are horrendous, believe you me!)  and I also added the P90x workouts to my run schedule.

Ambitious, right?

Jun 14

I am a creature of habit and I whole heartedly want to follow my schedule exactly but I know that’s not going to happen.  I don’t know whether to forgive my runs or forgive my P90x.  The runs are needed to help me train for October however the P90x workouts are needed to keep my muscles “confused” and working to a goal of getting lean & toned!

It’s only a few days in and already I have to wiggle some stuffs around.  I didn’t do my scheduled Saturday run however I *did* do the P90x workout.  Sunday I made up for the lack of Saturday run by doing a 16k Hike up Cape Split.

Here’s where we’re running into a problemo, my friends.  Sunday morning I woke up feeling not only sick but CRAZY sore from the P90x workout on Saturday.  I toughed it out and decided VERY last min that I still wanted to do the Cape Split hike and had a wonderful time with Les doing it….. BUT my body started to shut down.  On the way back my soreness from the P90x along with the general soreness of the uphill hike really started to set in.   Not to mention, I’m still feeling sickly.  When we were finally done the hike I could barely sit down to take off my shoes/sit in the car.  My ass muscles were TIGHT folks!

We went for supper afterwards when the sick REALLY kicked into the body aches so I was a mess.  Poor Les had to put up with me!

By the time we got back to the city and I finally got home I was toasted. I had a hot shower then bathed in a hot epsum salt bath.  Then it was sleepytime for me.

Today I still have body aches and I’m still sick but I was a trooper and went to work.

Now I am at home and I’m contemplating doing the Cardio X vid.  I don’t think it’s going to happen – instead I may swap today’s Cardio X with Wednesday’s Yoga X workout.  I’m also not in the shape to run so this week’s running may be pushed back by a day.  Hopefully the Yoga helps me tonight and I can run again tomorrow (not to mention walk around like a normal, functioning member of society!)

Sorry for the long winded post but that’s my update.  I hope I can keep up with this schedule and work my tootsie off whilst (I’ve been using that word a lot lately) continuing my 10K training plan.

Here’s some pics from the Cape Split adventure:

2010: A Fresh Start!

It sure has been a while since I posted!  I have been following everyone via Google reader but have been a bad blogger by not commenting very frequently.  Hey, what can I say?  It’s been one hell of a month!  As excited as I was for the holidays, I am quite happy it’s all over and done with for another year.  I can honestly say, despite the hustle, bustle & madness this was probably the best Christmas I’ve ever had!  It wasn’t about who got what for presents – it was all about just being together with family.  Ours was very much a budget Christmas but now that everyone is grown up in Dave’s family, no one really paid any attention to it.  Everyone was just so happy to be fortunate enough to be together to share the holidays together.  Dave & I spent the night on Christmas eve at his parents place so we could get up early to do the stockings.  We had a great night playing games with the family.  We had just acquired a wicked game from work (R I M m o n o p o l y) which was so much fun to play with everyone (even though I lost!).  I hadn’t played Monopoly in years so it was fun to put on a B l a c k B e r r y twist to it.

IMG_2987

Normally his oldest brother & SIL do their own stockings, breakfast & gifts at their own house but this year they joined us all and the whole family was together for breakfast on Christmas morning & the gift exchange.  It really made a positive difference just having everyone together.  It was likely the start of new Christmas morning traditions.

A few of us bloggers got together for a Secret Santa Exchange.  Jaime had me and she gave me the gift at our pre-Santa Shuffle potluck dinner.  I cannot believe it, but I didn’t open it until Christmas Day!  Yeah go me!!

IMG_2808 IMG_2811

It was a beautiful snow globe with the word “Peace” inside and a dove.  A wonderful addition to my Christmas Decor.  There was also a cutsie ornament that did go right on my tree also! Thanks Jaime!!

I have been so lucky to have 10 days off work over the holidays.  My work is just wicked like that.  I didn’t need to take any holidays, these days off were just given to us.  Whoop whoop!  It has been SOOOO needed to have this time off.  My last vacation was in July when I went to Edmonton for 10 days for a wedding, and when I got extremely sick.  So a vacation was a long time coming and I have been making the MOST of doing NOTHING!  I wasn’t paying attention to the day/date/time all week.  Loves it!!  I am kind of sad that it’s now Friday night and we’ll be back to work Monday morning.  :(

Last night we hung out with his brother & SIL again.  We went and hung out with some of their neighbors who were having a NYE party.  Even though we didn’t know the people, everyone was so down to earth and just out to have a great time.  Their house was INCREDIBLE!  There were about 3 different Christmas trees in the house, a fireplace in the kitchen which overlooked a small lake in the neighborhood.  Very posh and so beautiful!

Thankfully there wasn’t a crazy abundance of food at their place.  A few nuts were on the table for people to munch on (not me, because of my allergies…boo).  SIL made the Epicure Extraordinary Cheese Dip, then later on one of the neighbors made the best bacon wrapped scallops…ever….EVER!!   I do not like scallops (though I do love bacon) but I didn’t want to be rude and turn any down so I had one…which turned into about 4 scallops that I ate.  Holy cannoli.  These suckers were drizzled in maple syrup and a liquor (which I can’t think of right now… arg!) I wish I took pics of the actual scallops, however all I got was this amazing cooking show (and hello – WHAT a stove these people have!)

IMG_3063

Right before midnight we went downstairs to their in home theatre to do the countdown to 2010.

IMG_3044 IMG_3046 IMG_3053

Since it was late getting back in from the party, and I’d had an entire bottle of red to myself, we decided to spend the night at his brothers place.  In the morning his brother had made omelets, bacon, sausages & hashbrowns.  What a wonderful start to 2010!  Great company & great food!

The rest of the day was spent doing up our 2010 budget.  I haven’t set any goals for the new year just yet.  I may be behind on the times, however I still have my 101 in 1001 that I am aiming for.  There are mini-goals in my head that I want to work on in 2010:  pay off debt, stick to budget, work on relationship, save money, move into a home  (??), go to the gym more frequently, etc.

Actually, one goal I do have is to blog more frequently.  I do enjoy using the blog as a bit of an outlet, but I also like to look back over time and see how things were going.  This past month I haven’t really had the time (or desire, honestly) to blog, but I really want to get back in it.  I am now back to Blogger and am ready to get back into the swing of things!

Happy New Years everyone!!

Busy Weekend + hot shoes!

Original Post:  http://sweettoothblog.wordpress.com/2009/11/29/busy-weekend-hot-shoes/

Friday night I had an excellent night just winding down from the week at home.  It was fantastic!  When I woke up Saturday morning it was to Dave laying in bed next to me.  He took the red eye over from Calgary and arrived early in the morning around 8am.  It was such an awesome surprise that wasn’t a surprise since I knew he was coming home that morning.  :)   Later that day I had a LOT of running around to do.  My work holiday party was that evening and I had a dress but no accessories, and I really wanted a nice pair of red shoes.  I headed out to the mall, which I knew was going to be madness since it was tax free day.

Boy – was it MADNESS!  Luckily I only had to drive around a little bit to look for a parking spot and I found one not too far away, and underground so I didn’t have to walk in the rain.  Score!  All of the stores were craziness!  People sure took advantage of the 20% off day.  As did I!  I bought a black shrug to go over my dress, earrings & a cocktail ring, and some  A-MA-ZING new red shoes:

IMG_2652

These shoes were sooooo not worked into my budget but with no tax & 20% off I COULD NOT let them pass me by!! After all of the discounts it worked out to being about $81.  They are definitely a wonderful addition to my wardrobe!  Statement makers for sure!  I love the richness of the red.  I saw some fiery red shoes but those just weren’t what I was looking for and was thrilled when I came cross these!

I wish I took a full shot of my outfit with the shoes last night but somehow I didn’t get anything but headshots.  I am sure a pic will turn up somewhere somehow that has the full meal deal.  Here’s a pic of Christine & I.  (hehe plugging time: go check out her blog!)

IMG_2621sm

I definitely enjoyed a few drinks that night and came stumbling home.  It really is OK to do that once in a while!  Today I woke up with some minor spins and a teeny headache but it was worth it!  Such a great night!

This upcoming week is going to be busy with a LOT of baking.  2 cakes, and a lot of cookies for our cookie exchange.  I hope to at least get in some Zumba on Tuesday – it really is too fun to miss!  Also, I want to put up our Christmas tree since I’ve been such a good little girl and waiting until December (it was killing me to see other people with their trees in the window and I had to wait!)   It’s going to be a big job, though, since we plan on doing a huge flipflop of our living room.  Ahh well, change is good!

Reminder for Halifax peeps:  Epicure order is going in tomorrow so email me your orders (epicurelex@gmail.com) and stock up on some wonderful goodies!!

Now I leave you with some cuteness.  Here’s a couple pics I took of Ceasar today with my new and super awesome lens.  Jade pics will come another day – he was snoozing all day!

He missed cuddling with Daddy!

Weekend of Fun!

Original Post: http://sweettoothblog.wordpress.com/2009/11/08/weekend-of-fun/

This weekend is Dave’s birthday weekend so we’ve been having oodles of fun together!  Despite the snow we got on Friday, we still headed out to his brother & sister in law’s place for a BBQ!  It was great – delicious burgers, hotdogs and wings!

Of course I made a cake for him – none other than a Rubiks cube cake!! (Dave is an avid cuber – as any of the ladies who have met him can attest to!)

IMG_2885x

Saturday we slept in quite late – we didn’t get out of bed until 1ish in the afternoon.  Nice!  It has been SO long since we’ve done that and it felt good!

Grocery shopping was on our ‘to-do’ list for Saturday but we had a change of plans and postponed it for a day.  Instead of me cooking supper, I took Dave out to Mexico Lindo for dinner.  This is just a small little restaurant but it never disappoints!  They gave us some delicious nachos and spicy salsa to munch on while we waited for our food.  I think they make their own nachos and trust me when I say they are nothing like what you get at the grocery stores!

We each had a class of Agua Fresca (which is probably my favorite beverage in the world!).  Normally we’d get a pitcher but they ran out for the night (popular drink!).

mexican

Although I ordered a Chimichanga combo, I got an Enchilada combo instead – which was ok!  I have never had either so next time I’ll try the Chimichanga.

My enchiladas were topped with cheese and a dollop of sour cream.  On the sides there was rice with corn and some beans.  The beans looked awful but they were sooooo good!!

mexican2

I got pretty stuffed from the starter nachos, so I only ate my rice, 1/2 of the beans and 1/2 of one enchilada.  That means lucky me gets 1.5 enchiladas for leftovers tonight!! mmm!

Anyone who lives in the Halifax area or who will be visiting should really check this place out.  It looks like a little restaurant from the outside (which it is) that you could easily walk by, but the food and service (even with the slipup of my order) are excellent!

Today Dave & I woke up much earlier than last night and he wanted to go to a flea market.  I proposed the Christmas Craft Fair to him and he agreed to come along.  I have never been to the craft fair before so I was curious to see what it was all about.

I have realized that I haven’t taken many pictures of Dave & I in the past few months – which kind of disappoints me.  One of my goals (#4) was to take my photos, print them and put them in albums – but if I don’t have pictures how can I do that, right?  Another goal (#74) was to take a new photo of Dave & myself each month for a year.   I have number 1 of 12 covered here:

IMG_2887

So here’s a photo (and vid!) breakdown of today’s events:

Ooh Sophie sittin’ pretty.  She just got a nice bath yesterday:

Off we go!!

IMG_2908

Ok – here’s where I had to take a video.  As soon as I turned on the radio, BEP’s were playing.  Loves it!

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lK1NHmwQZxo]

The smooch at the end was for all of my ladies (and the hubbys lol).  Miss you all!!

Ok check out this ginormous sized Santa!  Of course I went in for a crotch shot…

IMG_2911

Inside the fair we ran into Les & her big J.  They had mentioned a whole other wing which we hadn’t ventured over to which was where all of the food was!  Dave & I moseyed over and stumbled across something unexpected… Bubble Tea!! We both LOVE Bubble Tea but it is SO hard to find here in Halifax. (I still have yet to find a really good BBT place here…)

IMG_2912

IMG_2916

After walking around for a bit the 4 of us decided to grab some grub.  I had some perogies…. they were polish but they still were great.  (I am Ukrainian so there is a bit of a battle between Polish & Ukrainians… hehe).  These are soo bad for you but they are the food of ‘my people’ (lol) so I had to indulge.  There were 7 in the container but I gave 3 away so I was left with 4.

IMG_2919

Check out the boys whispering about techhy stuff they ‘need’ to buy… trying to keep it secret from us ladies.

IMG_2917

One of the things I did end up getting was a stuffed animal.  Weird I know… well not really.  These stuffed animals are hand made by a group of people called Team Sleep and they are so awesome.  So stiff (I really like stiff pillows, so I think that is why I really liked these guys) but also soooo soft.  His name is “Huggsy” and Les’s little J got one too!  Check us out!

IMG_2921

We all decided to call it a day after much walking around and some good eats.  When Dave & I walked to the car we saw a huge Susie’s Shortbread cupcake that I had to get a pic with!

IMG_2922

Tonight the boys (Dave & big J) decided to check out a movie together (some scary movie that Les & I don’t care to see) so we’re going to have a girls night in and watch  Amazing Race and/or Desperate Housewives!

What an awesome weekend!

PS – can I mention AGAIN how awesome Angie & Lynn are doing with their WW meetings & progress?!?!  They have been and continue to be SERIOUSLY inspiring many in blogland.  I love it!

And all was well

Not too much to gab about today.

This weekend I picked Dave up from the airport – his original flight was CANCELLED when he got to the South Carolina airport and so he quickly had to find another alternative to get home.  There was practically NO wiggle room since the next day Hurricane Bill was coming and all flights were cancelled.

After travelling 2hrs to another nearby airport he somehow managed to find an Air Canada flight that took him to Toronto and then back home.  He was 8hours off schedule but I was still happy!! The poor guy was SO tired though since he’d pulled an all nighter the night before his flight.  Eek!

This weekend Hurricane Bill arrived.  I’ve never really experienced a hurricane before so I was definitely SO happy Dave was home and I wasn’t alone.  We were quite lucky that the hurricane did not hit land – I guess had it come in 80more kilometers everything would have been MUCH worse!

Here are some pics of the ocean I took shortly after Bill left.

Hurricane Bill (57) 004

HurricaneBill (2)

HurricaneBill (22)

So overall I am glad we were all prepped.  It almost seems like people were disappointed that the hurricane wasn’t as bad as Hurricane Juan was….. but I mean c’mon.  Careful what you wish for.  Would you want to be sitting on your driveway with a shingle in your hand from your uplifted roof????? Yeah… I didn’t think so! LOL!  Plus, we are only at “B”…(for “Bill” – the storms are named alphabetically) so I’m sure there will be several more storms to watch this year.

Eating this week has been so-so.  I honestly am finding it fairly challenging to stay within my point value for Weight Watchers.  Granted – I have gone out to eat, once to Moxies, once to Brewdebakers which is definitely not good.  Even still, when I look at the point values from the food I eat at home, I’m still cutting it real close or going over my daily points target.  Hrmm… I think this will take some time to manage (for me anyway) but I’ll start to figure it all out.

I also need to start GETTING ACTIVE! Heck, I have a mini gym in my place that I have used ONCE in the year I’ve been here… I need to take advantage of that AND take advantage of the decent weather outside as cool weather is not far away at all.  Halifax has had it’s 1 week of summer, which was last week (Hello consecutive 30C+ days!!)

Knock knock, who’s there?

Me!

That’s who!

I have been MIA for the longest time and I’m finally getting back into the swing of things.  Now, I’ve been back for several weeks however there have been a lot of things going on SINCE the vacation.  I definitely was on hiatus for a while and I-needed-it!

Here’s a little long summary so you get a bit of a picture:

- Vacation booked in Edmonton for 10 days… I was there to visit family but also to stand in a wedding

- Saturday to Sunday was great. I was there by myself and got to chill with my family.  Wahoo!

- Monday Dave came and it started off great, but ended up not so great, then turned around to being ‘ok’.

- Tuesday, great

- Wednesday – Fabulous

- Thursday – had to help set up the wedding in +30C temps.  Dave had to sit at home by his lonesome due to some plans that fell through. Booorrring!

- Friday 1/2 day spent setting up reception hall (Dave was at home again), 2nd 1/2 was spent with my mom and him playing golf.

- Saturday – wedding.  Up at the crack of dawn for hair + makeup

11 am – tea ceremony:

Randi's Wedding 134

Afternoon: Take limo to the wedding which was 45m outside of town. Limo overheats (Note: This day was 32C ++++)

6613_224300845516_651475516_7886750_423426_n

replacement limo comes, filthy from the night before (liquor EVERYwhere), no Air conditioning, and not stocked with water.

Drive 45m out.

Arrive at wedding at 3pm … still so hot.  The house where the wedding is has no water.  The guests were hovering in what little shade there was.  The bridesmaids were all in our LONG dresses, and the groomsmen in their suits.

Randi's Wedding pt1 127

Seriously, TMI but whatever: my undies were soaked, my legs were drenched.  It was sooo gross!

After the ceremony and oodles of pictures, we took the dirty, un-airconditioned limo 45mins back into town.

no – 1hr 15m because the driver took a LONG way!

Then we go to the reception to finish setting things up (last minute, yes).  Un-airconditioned Reception hall with little to no water.

At this point 'I’m starting to feel weird.  Very very weird.  Weak and just ‘off’.

When we sit down at the head table I can tell my body temp is SO hot but I have the chills.

hrmm.

Dinner comes – I can’t eat.  Anything.

Speaches take place – I don’t do any for fear of passing out if I stood up.

I go to sit in an airconditioned car.  I do not get better.  In fact, I start to panic.  I tell the maid of honor that I’m going to the hospital cuz something isn’t right.  I was talked out of it, and my dad came to pick me up instead.  (I haven’t seen the 1st dance, cutting of the cake, anything).

When I get home, I rip the damn dress off and pass out in my bed.  Dave puts cold wet towels all over me because of how hot my body temp is.

I realize that I got heat exhaustion.  Not good.  I realize, hey, I haven’t sweat since the ceremony outside.  Hrmm

Sunday – I feel like CRAP.  Hot/cold/hot/cold/achy/fever/headachy/hot/cold,  I go to a small hospital, wait for 2 hours and only ONE person during that time got to see a doctor.  Uhhhh no thanks.  I went home and just dealt with the pain.

IMG00394-20090726-1840

Monday – Hot/cold/fever/hot/cold + WORST-HEADACHE-EVER.  I have NEVER experienced a headache like this.  It was SOOOOOO bad.  My mom told me to get to the hospital.  I was put in a room very fast but I think the nurse was new and didn’t input me into the computer so I waited forever for a doctor.

* this was a ‘good’ reading:

IMG00395-20090726-1856

When the doc finally came she treated me for dehydration and a migraine.  That meant IV, pain stuff, nausea stuff, Benadryl.  I’ve never been IV’d before and I didn’t like it.  I was ok with the needle, but I wasn’t OK when the drugs hit my brain.  I quite literally started TRIPPING OUT!  Dave talked me through it – blesshisheart! And I had somewhat of a nap.

IMG00396-20090727-1745

Whatever pain meds they gave me helped somewhat, but it didn’t take the whole migraine away.

Oh, did I mention the NEXT DAY I had to fly home?

Uggggh!

The flight was brutal – I started checking out train tickets instead but that was the day VIA rail had a 60% off promo so I couldn’t get anywhere online.

I get off the plane and Dave’s mom’s expression when she sees me said so much.  I looked TERRIBLE!  But… I felt good that the flight was over.

I still felt like crap though and called in Wednesday so I could get some rest.  Underneath it all a nice FLU unveiled itself.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Does it EVER stop?????????

I took Wed, Thurs, Friday off so in total I was off for 2 weeks from work. yikes!

Anyway – that’s my story.  I tried condensing it but then it also felt good to just get some of it out!

******

There has been other stuff going on in the past few weeks, but nothing much to talk about.

******

I just signed up for WW online.  I had heard a few people mention they were signing up and it was kind of a coinkidink because I’d been thinking about it as well.

See – I’ve never done WW before, or anything!  I get kind of lost with food.  I really need someone’s help (That someone turns out to be Dave) when it comes to knowing about good cals/bad cals, fiber intake, protein, etc etc etc.  It it quite sad to say, but I am very ignorant to a lot of very important information.  Food is a struggle for me and since I haven’t really had a solid foundation, I decided I needed some structure.

So, it’s kind of funny that a bunch of other ladies have just joined/rejoined once again.

I’m excited to see what comes of this!  I literally JUST activated my account so I have a lot of reading material to go through!

I feel like I have so much more to say but I have to run to my girlfriend’s house to watch yesterday’s True Blood! WEeeeee!

Ladies (to anyone who may/may not be reading):

I

Am

Back!

Now that I’ve said it, I mean it! And if I slip, then I hope someone smacks me back into place.. for reals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oHHH WAIT!

one more thing!

Look what I did today while making a yummy mushroom + spinach omlette:

DUMBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB!!

See where my head is????????

No progress with my knee

Today was a great day.  Work was work.  Nothing new there.  After work I headed to the doctor to check out my bum knee.  It’s been hurting pretty bad today so I decided it was time to check’er out.  Unfortunately the trip to the doctor didn’t reveal anything.  My knee has only been hurting if there is pressure on it (so when I walk; go up/down stairs, etc)  When I went to the doctor she pushed and prodded and bent it, etc.  None of which bothered my knee.  Her advice was to ice it when it hurts, take some of the prescription for an anti-inflammatory she gave me, along with some cream she told me I could get over the counter.  If it still persists, then they can take x-rays.

Meh.  I probably won’t be taking the amped up advil she prescribed me.  She mentioned it can cause an upset stomach so I’ll just stick with regular ol’ Advil.  I may get a small knee brace to take to booty camp & flirty fit class.

After the docs Dave & I headed to the Wok Box!!!  I say this with 3 exclamation points because I really really enjoy this place!  I had a few springrolls to start (like usual – this place has GOOD springrolls unlike most asian places here in Halifax.) Dave had a sweet & sour chicken dish and I had a Korean Bulgogi beef rice bowl.  (I  highly recommend this!)

IMG00266-20090715-1710 IMG00265-20090715-1710

Later that night I picked up my bridesmaids dress since my alterations were complete.  Feels SO good to have that all done & over with.  My dress is good to go, and Dave’s suit is good to go.  We can check those off the to-do list now!

When I came back Dave suggested we go for a walk (which I wanted to ask him to do anyway… especially so I could complete Amy’s 20minute challenge.)  Now… I will be honest, I didn’t run at all.  We did walk the whole way (which was on a crazy incline the whole 1/2way) but we still did it…. In fact, we amped it up to a 50minute INCLINE walk. hahaha

Our path:

walking path

So I took a photo of our starting time, but I totally forgot to take a picture of my watch when we were done… silly me…. BUT Dave did let me know that we were out for 50 minutes… nice!

IMG00267-20090715-2009

We started off running down this crazy steep hill by my place.. Thankfully no ankles were sprained!  It is hard to tell the steepness in this pic, but trust me… it is steep! LOL

IMG00268-20090715-2009

And off we went!

IMG00270-20090715-2012

This is a path we found and I told Dave he should facebook our coordinates in case we got *violated* in the woods… eek!

I had made a comment saying, “I wonder where this path will take us,” and sure enough… it came to an end:

HERE IS WHERE THINGS GET CRAZY…. well… not really.

Dave made me stop and was saying, “wait wait!” then he picked at my face and I thought he was pulling a bug off of me so I freaked out.  INSTEAD what he’d found was this:

RANDOM CRAZY FACE HAIR!  I *KNOW* you all get them! Admit it!

We found another path and walked by some swamp/pond thing.  The ducks were very curious of us.

And after 50minutes we arrived at home!  I am a sweaty bugger as usual! LOL

Tomorrow will be my last day at Booty Camp for a while.  I will be missing the next 3 +1 makeup class due to my trip back home.  Tomorrow we get to do measurements which I’m super curious about.  I am worried about seeing NO CHANGE cuz things like that just seem to happen with me.  My weight went up which could be muscle, yes I  know, but if I don’t see any changes in my measurements I will probably be quite discouraged.

Oh – I got a call from my SIL saying she was having a hard time going up/down stairs and sitting on the toilet (JUST like I did after the 1st Booty Camp session! hahaha).  The lunges ARE crazy!!!!

That’s all for now – off to enjoy So you think you can dance!
