No progress with my knee

Today was a great day.  Work was work.  Nothing new there.  After work I headed to the doctor to check out my bum knee.  It’s been hurting pretty bad today so I decided it was time to check’er out.  Unfortunately the trip to the doctor didn’t reveal anything.  My knee has only been hurting if there is pressure on it (so when I walk; go up/down stairs, etc)  When I went to the doctor she pushed and prodded and bent it, etc.  None of which bothered my knee.  Her advice was to ice it when it hurts, take some of the prescription for an anti-inflammatory she gave me, along with some cream she told me I could get over the counter.  If it still persists, then they can take x-rays.

Meh.  I probably won’t be taking the amped up advil she prescribed me.  She mentioned it can cause an upset stomach so I’ll just stick with regular ol’ Advil.  I may get a small knee brace to take to booty camp & flirty fit class.

After the docs Dave & I headed to the Wok Box!!!  I say this with 3 exclamation points because I really really enjoy this place!  I had a few springrolls to start (like usual – this place has GOOD springrolls unlike most asian places here in Halifax.) Dave had a sweet & sour chicken dish and I had a Korean Bulgogi beef rice bowl.  (I  highly recommend this!)

Later that night I picked up my bridesmaids dress since my alterations were complete.  Feels SO good to have that all done & over with.  My dress is good to go, and Dave’s suit is good to go.  We can check those off the to-do list now!

When I came back Dave suggested we go for a walk (which I wanted to ask him to do anyway… especially so I could complete Amy’s 20minute challenge.)  Now… I will be honest, I didn’t run at all.  We did walk the whole way (which was on a crazy incline the whole 1/2way) but we still did it…. In fact, we amped it up to a 50minute INCLINE walk. hahaha

Our path:

So I took a photo of our starting time, but I totally forgot to take a picture of my watch when we were done… silly me…. BUT Dave did let me know that we were out for 50 minutes… nice!

We started off running down this crazy steep hill by my place.. Thankfully no ankles were sprained!  It is hard to tell the steepness in this pic, but trust me… it is steep! LOL

And off we went!

This is a path we found and I told Dave he should facebook our coordinates in case we got *violated* in the woods… eek!

I had made a comment saying, “I wonder where this path will take us,” and sure enough… it came to an end:

New path:

HERE IS WHERE THINGS GET CRAZY…. well… not really.

Dave made me stop and was saying, “wait wait!” then he picked at my face and I thought he was pulling a bug off of me so I freaked out.  INSTEAD what he’d found was this:

RANDOM CRAZY FACE HAIR!  I *KNOW* you all get them! Admit it!

Check out this crazy Tim’s cup holding up someone’s garage door:

We found another path and walked by some swamp/pond thing.  The ducks were very curious of us.

And after 50minutes we arrived at home!  I am a sweaty bugger as usual! LOL

Oooh… check out who’s drinking a green brown smoothie!

Tomorrow will be my last day at Booty Camp for a while.  I will be missing the next 3 +1 makeup class due to my trip back home.  Tomorrow we get to do measurements which I’m super curious about.  I am worried about seeing NO CHANGE cuz things like that just seem to happen with me.  My weight went up which could be muscle, yes I  know, but if I don’t see any changes in my measurements I will probably be quite discouraged.

Oh – I got a call from my SIL saying she was having a hard time going up/down stairs and sitting on the toilet (JUST like I did after the 1st Booty Camp session! hahaha).  The lunges ARE crazy!!!!

That’s all for now – off to enjoy So you think you can dance!

You are too cute on your walk. Bummer about the knee. Hopefully some time off from stupid lunges will help!

Loved this post Lex! Your walking pics were awesome, the hair one especially just made me LOL. And for the record, yes we all have the odd long hair growing out of our face from time to time. I think it comes with getting old. :)
