Exposure

First things first:  Go Canada!! We’re doing awesome at hockey tonight! YAY!

Not a lot to update here – things for me again have been very busy with work, cake decorating, and other personal things so it’s been hard to find time to blog…. as well as catch up on reading blogs…

I have been doing a LOT of soul searching lately and with that came many ups and downs.  I have been tossing back and forth with the idea of writing a “let it all out” type post but I have several mixed feelings about it.  The outlet would be great – to just write freely and let all out however I find it difficult to take that step on a public blog.  Especially since I have a hard time opening up and/or exposing myself in general (trust issues) – and especially knowing that I can be analyzed/critiqued/judged by anyone (or no one) all by the convenience of the anonymity of the interwebs.

Thankfully I do have my DBF who has been a great listener.  He really helps me sort through my crazy thoughts and feelings which is very helpful.  My mom would be the one to help me talk things out before, but with her being in Alberta, me over here (not to mention it being almost impossible to reach her when I call…) its just not the same.

Anyway – that's my story.

Time to go back to watch the game!  (Which by the way, is 6-2 Canada! YEAH!)

It is scary putting yourself "out there" and it does make you feel a bit vulnerable. That said, there's an incredible amount of empowerment in doing it and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the response. I'm always here to listen, either on the blog or off ;-)

Maybe you should write the post, then walk away from it for a break. Then you can decide to post or not. Same thing as hitting send on a controversial email. Maybe even just the exercise of writing the "let it all out" post will help you gain perspective.
