I have had little time to blog lately since Dave got home (and since he’s leaving again on Sunday). Not that I mind, our time together has been awesome. We have been getting along famously – ohh like they say, time apart can make the heart grow fonder.
Yesterday us Halibloggers had our 3rd session at Booty Camp. I thought we were in for a muddy session since the forecast called for rain however for the duration of our workout the sun came out. We did a bunch of cardio: running up a steep hill 5x, doing 2 laps around the baseball field – one of those laps I definitely power walked (and helloo Ang…. she was running and totally killed that lap! She could have lapped us all!) I enjoyed this session a lot and I can tell that the countless lunges we’ve been doing are definitely working wonders.
After the session we all headed to Sushi Nami Royale for some delisciousness.
The green tea cheesecake for dessert looked pretty but I don’t think I’d have it again:
Overall the night was awesome!! And we’ll be back at Booty Camp tomorrow!
Today I had the day off to celebrate Canada Day! It sure is nice having a day off during the week but there wasn’t too much to do as everything was closed. It’s still so unusual to have everything closed for me during holidays. (Up until 2yrs ago there wasn’t even Sunday shopping here!) Back at home the *only* day everything is closed is Christmas Day.
Dave & I tried our luck and headed to Dartmouth Crossing to see if we could go shopping but nothing but restaurants were open. We went for lunch at the Wok Box. I wanted to try the Korean Bulgogi beef and Dave wanted Beef & Broccoli, however they had no beef?! We started with springrolls (the best springrolls in the city – more like what I’m used to) I went for a Mongolian rice bowl with pork which was pretty good, Dave had lemon chicken with rice.
(Random pics of a pretty flower I found when I was leaving the Wokbox:)
We had an action packed day today which was nice. I am SORT of in the market for a new car (it’s more of a *want* vs a *need* right now) so we went looking at all kinds of cars at the dealerships today since we wouldn’t get harassed due to the holiday. Sneaky sneaky! After that we played some pool then headed to the casino for some gambling. Dave doubled his moola so he treated us to dinner at the Trapeze inside of the casino.
We started with a starter bowl of ceasar salad which was HUGE, along with some yummy bruchetta.
Dave enjoyed a penne pasta dinner and I had a HUGE plate of nachos. Neither of which we finished after filling ourselves on the apps.
For dessert we walked over to Cows ice cream. This place is kind of a staple anytime we are down by the waterfront. I got a scoop of strawberry sorbet with a scoop of raspberry chip icecream in a waffle bowl.
Overall it was an AWESOME Canada day spent with my hunnie!
Edit - TOTALLY almost forgot about Amy's Workout Wednesday but I snuck it in!! Gotta work on my planks...ahhh!

Looks like a fun day!!!
Sounds like you had fun. Totally did NOT do the workout. I suck. ha ha. I forgot all about it. Wednesdays are hard for me. Oh well. Maybe I could sneak them in on Thursday? Ha ha.
Oh wow you guys had a GREAT day off together!!! I didn't leave the house! lol
Yeah I felt like a total dork running ahead like that, but thought to myself that the only person who benefits or who "doesn't" benefit from how hard I push it is ME, right?! Anyone who thinks otherwise is losing out :-)
See ya tonight cutie ;-)
I have to try this Wok Box place!
Your day looked like so much fun, I LOVE hanging out on the waterfront! We really do live in a nice city. :)
